Programs
Predecessor (Summer School, Tao Fong Scholarship & Outstanding Thesis Award)

The foundations of Tao Fong Graduate Student Academic Symposium were originated from ISCS’s three pioneer programs.

1. Summer School
2. Tao Fong Scholarship
3. Outstanding Thesis Award

The first program was held by ISCS with Peking University, Renmin University of China and Fudan University from 1994 to 1999. It provided intensive courses for scholars in Christian studies from Mainland China in summer.

The second program was incorporated with several renowned universities in Mainland China from 1995 to 2017. The aim is at training China’s young students in Christian studies. The numbers of cooperative universities raised from 7 at first to more than 40. This program ended in 2017 and transformed into “Tao Fong Graduate Student Academic Symposium”.

The third program was held during 2001 to 2009. Academic articles of graduate students from cooperative universities were selected to compete for the prize. It’s the prototype of “Tao Fong Graduate Student Academic Symposium”.
